Joshua Horton, BS, MS, MBA

Joshua Horton is the current Public Health Director of Grayson County Health Department. Joshua joined the department in December 2019; prior to working at GCHD, he worked as the Safety, Compliance, and Emergency Management Coordinator of Breckinridge Health, Inc. 

​

Joshua is a 2010 graduate of Elizabethtown Community College, a 2012 graduate of Western Kentucky University, a 2014 graduate of Western Governors University, and a 2017 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Joshua has a total of ten years of leadership experience. 

​

In his free time, Joshua enjoys helping others. He recently launched a non-profit organization and is a certified happiness coach. In the past, Joshua also enjoyed working for VIPKID--an online learning platform for Chinese students that take English lessons from English teachers around the world.

​

Joshua is on the board of directors of the Grayson County Chamber and of the Kentucky Public Health Association. He also serves on the advisory committee for the Breckinridge/Grayson Head Start Programs.

 

Joshua is a Kentucky Colonel, a recipient of the 2021 Legendary Partner Award from the Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky, and Grayson County's 2020 Person of the Year.
